A ministry in Nigeria serves meals, clothing, educational materials, and medical aid in refugees camps, orphanage centers, and 561 prisons. They say there is no people in the world that is as hungry and desperate to have a Bible of their own. They will cherish even a single page torn from a Community Bible.

Zimbabwe, a former communist country, is having an increased need for English Bibles as a result of teaching Christian moral ethics in the primary and secondary schools. The recent currency devaluation has made it very difficult for people to get Bibles.

In remote Buddhist villages in Sri Lanka, no Christian bookshops or public preaching about the Lord Jesus is allowed. Yet through small home Bible study groups the need for English Bibles grows. New believers, too poor to afford a Bible, are overjoyed to receive one as a gift.

The son of the chief fetish priest of a shrine in Ghana wrote asking for an English Bible. He said his Christian uncle has helped him go to a technical school. Home cell churches in Zambia are growing and "more people are 'hungry' for the word of God." A ministry in Trinidad & Tobago received a shipment of Bibles and they "went like hot bread from a bakery."
